I grasped the practical side of printing processes while I was working for a printing company early on in my career. Using that knowledge I started freelancing and worked as a graphic designer for big-budget tv shows (The Borgias, Fleming) where my works were printed on a great variety of materials ranging from paper to foam board into glass and textile. Then I moved from print to web and worked for HRN, a growing HR Technology events organizer company located in Budapest. I created web designs for their conferences in London, Paris and Amsterdam.
I started freelancing as a graphic designer early on during my MA studies. I have been working for the Budapest contemporary art museum, Ludwig Museum while simultaneously growing my private clientele and preparing for an academic career. For the last 3 years I have been teaching international and Hungarian students Design theory and Art philosophy in the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, a great opportunity to solidify my theoretical background in the fields of graphic design.
At BURN & TAILOR we value intelligent, creative, culturally and environmentally conscious work. Our best results come from collaborative projects with artists and clients from the cultural industry and education. We respect the impact of visual culture on contemporary life and try to redefine our role rather then follow outdated models. It’s important for us to continuously expand our network of people from different backgrounds with whom we can collaborate and work on future projects.
When working cooperatively on complex projects we like to think big and small at the same time. We try to ensure that we can align our goals with the client’s to better understand the design challenge at hand. To ensure this we ask questions, do throughout research and synthesize perceptive solutions. Because of its compact nature, our team is able to flexibly integrate itself into a company as a creative agent for the duration of any project as well as stay open for design collaborations of all types.
